- Can I wear goggles on the diving boards?
Unfortunately, you are unable to wear goggles on the diving boards due to H&S restrictions.
- Can I wear flippers for swimming?
You can use small training fins during lane swimming only, all other flippers are not allowed at the pool (This includes snorkels and masks)
- What lanes are available during lane swimming?
There are three lanes available during lane swimming; Fast, medium and a slow / recreational lane.
- Is there lane swimming available at all times?
There is a lane available for swimming at all times (except for times when there are block bookings) – this lane will be available for all speeds of swimmer.
- Do I need money for the locker?
Yes, 50p, which is refundable.
- Swimming Lessons/Courses FAQ's

- How long are the lessons ?
Lessons last 30 minutes
- How long is a term ?
Each term is 12 weeks long
- What if my child is sick ?
If your child is ill and you can provide us with a medical note, we will refund the cost of the lessons missed.
- What happens if you cancel the lesson ?
If we have to cancel a lesson a refund can be collected for that lesson from Customer Services.
- How many children are in a class ?
Most of our classes have 8 in them at the lower stages and then up to 10 for the higher level stages.
- Which pool will my child be in ?
Up to Stage 3, all children will be in the teaching pool.
Stage 3+ and up will be in the main pool.
- Do we need to bring anything to the lesson ?
Please come with swimming costume, goggles and a towel and we will provide the rest.
- Can we watch the lessons ?
You can watch your child in both pools in the spectators area.
- Do you have a waiting list ?
We do not operate a waiting list, we have open enrolment dates that you can book your child onto.
- Are all the teachers qualified ?
All teachers are ASA (amateur swimming association) Level 2 qualified.
- Where do the children go on their first lesson ?
Children need to go to the teaching pool and sit under the colour of their hat and wait for their teacher to collect them.
- How are the pupils assessed ?
Children are assessed continually throughout the term and the teachers follow the National teaching plan criteria to assess.
- Do you do 1-2-1 lessons ?
We do run 1-2-1 lessons and they can be booked in blocks of 6, 30 minute lessons.
- Do the lessons run through school holidays and bank holidays?
Our lessons do run through all the holidays. We operate 48 weeks of the year for lessons.
- Do we get a certificate and a badge ?
At the end of each term children will get a certificate when they have completed the term. If they pass the stage they are on they will get an ASA certificate and badge.
- If my child needs to move class during the 1st 2 weeks of term, how and what happens ?
If we feel your child needs to be moved their teacher will issue you with a class moving form and you will need to go to customer services and ask them to find you the suitable class.
- Gym & Classes FAQ's

- How far in advance can I book a class?
Up to 7 days in advance at Customer Services.
- What is the minimum age to take part in a class?
You have to be 16 yrs old to take part in our standard classes but we also offer some Teen classes, please see the class timetable for further details.
- How much does a class cost?
Classes are free to members, if you are a non-member the cost is £5.70
- What do I need to do if I am new to the class?
Turn up 10 mins before the start to ensure you can talk to the instructor, notify the instructor of any injury or medical information that may be affected by exercise.
- What should I wear?
It is important to wear correct supportive footwear and clothing for the session and bring a small towel to place on the studio mats.
- What to do if I have pre-booked a class but can not make it?
You must contact Customer Services to notify them as they will remove your name from the class register.
- What to do if I am late for a class?
Please be aware that for health and safety reasons you may be refused entry once the class has started.
- Indoor Sports FAQ's

- How and where can I make a booking?
Up to 7 seven days in advance you can book in person at the customer service desk or by calling on 01242 528764, you will be asked to make payment at the time of booking.
- How long do activities last?
You can book Badminton, Short tennis, Table Tennis, 5 a side Football, Netball, Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket Lanes and Short Mat Bowls in 1 hour blocks at Customer Services.
Squash is available in 45 minute sessions
- Can I hire equipment like a racquet?
Yes, You can hire Badminton, Squash, Short Tennis/Racquetball racquets, Table Tennis bats, Football, Basketballs and Volleyballs at the customer service desk. All racquets come with a ball/shuttlecock. Please note there is a £1 charge per item and a £10 refundable deposit.

- What is re active ?
Re-Active is Cheltenham’s physical activity referral scheme (PARS).
- How do I get referred ?
Please see your GP for more information on how to get referred into the programme and to see if you fit the referral criteria. Your GP will then fill out a Referral Form and send it to the Reactive Coordinator who will contact you directly.
- How long will it last for ?
The initial part of the scheme will last for 12 weeks with an option to extend the programme for a further 12 months.
- How much will it cost ?
Each activity costs £2.10 with an initial sign up fee of £7.80.
- Outdoor FAQ's

- When can I use the running track?
The track is open from 9.00 am each day until the centre closes. However, during the summer the stadium plays host to athletics competitions and school sports days and in the winter it is used by Cheltenham Tigers Rugby club for matches and at these times the track would not be available to use. - Do we provide invites ?
No we are unable to provide invites
- Can we bring our own food ?
You are unable to bring any party food, all food packages can be arranged with the onsite café, you can however bring your own cake!
- Which party is most suitable for a eg 7 year old ?
We recommend a sports or splash party, the soft play parties are aimed at younger children
- What games/sports do they play?
They can play either football, basketball, hockey or indoor quick cricket, its up to you!
