National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
Leisure at Cheltenham is an approved IQL training centre for the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification that all Pool staff must complete .
This is an industry standard qualification which can be used nationally.
Throughout the year the centre hosts a number of NPLQ training courses. These are typically a week of training with an assessment at the end. Our next NPLQ Pool Lifeguard course starts on Monday 17th December and runs until Friday 21st December – final assessment on Friday afternoon. Each day starting at 9am and finishing at 5pm
The course costs £240. Full Payment must be made to confirm booking. Leisure at Cheltenham reserve the right to cancel the course, in such an event a full refund will be made. course place cancellations must be made 14 days prior to the start of the course, where a full refund will be given. cancellations made within 14 days will not be refunded.
Cost includes 37.5 hrs of training, lifeguard manual, assessment, NPLQ and AED qualification
Course covers the role of the lifeguard; swimming pool supervision; rescues and emergency action plans; cardiopulmonary resuscitation, AED and first aid. pool rescues & First Aid.
