Swimming Lessons and Courses
Swimming lessons are, in our opinion, one of the greatest gifts a parent can give to their children. Swimming is the only health promoting fun activity which also provides a child with the tools and skills to save their own life.
Here at leisure@cheltenham, we follow the ASA Award Scheme and, as appropriate, badges are awarded at the end of each full term. All our swimming teachers are ASA qualified.
All of our lessons are delivered by friendly, fully qualified coaches. We offer classes for every age, from very young children up to adults, and we welcome people of all abilities.
12 week courses - Next New Term starting 8th July
Our open enrolment date for the new term is from 3pm, Sunday 23rd June. Enrolment has to be made in person at customer services.
Each course is 12 weeks long with no breaks for half term. Courses run Monday to Friday from 4pm and Saturday mornings from 8.30am.

Each course costs £58.00 which includes a swimming hat.
6 week courses for babies and toddlers - New Term starting week commencing 22nd July
Each course is 6 weeks long. Lessons are run between 3pm and 4pm on various days. Please see the timetable for full details.
Lessons cost £29 for the 6 weeks.
Fit as a Fish
These sessions are available to our customers aged 50 and over and offer an opportunity to help improve wellbeing, stroke ability and water confidence.
You can enrol now for our 6 week courses over the summer starting from the 22nd July.

Crash Courses
We will be running a 4 day crash courses in the Summer Holidays
Lessons will run Tuesday to Friday on the 23rd July, 6th August and the 20th August. Each lesson is 30 mins long and cost £20 for the 4 days.
NPLQ Course
This is a week long intensive course and includes AED training. Candidates must be 16 by the assessment date. Cost for the course is £250.
The next course will run on the 22nd July Monday to Friday 9am til 5pm.

Leisure@cheltenham is offering the chance to become a qualified lifeguard. Following the success of the previous course, leisure@ is running the training again in July, which will enable people to gain The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK that complies with all industry guidance Monday 11th February - Friday 15th February 9am til 5pm daily. £250 which includes all equipment and mannuals.
